This Privacy Policy explains how Robert King ("we," "us") handles information in connection with the APFE — A Place for Everything app ("APFE," the "app"), a household inventory app. By using APFE you agree to the practices described here.
The short version: APFE exists to help you keep track of your own belongings. We collect only what's needed to run the app and sync your inventory. We show no ads, we include no third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and we never sell your data.
Account information (via Sign in with Apple). When you sign in, Apple provides us a stable, app-specific identifier for your account. If you choose to share them, we also receive your name and an email address (which may be an Apple private-relay address). We use this solely to create and authenticate your account.
Content you create. The inventory you build in the app, including:
Technical information. To keep you signed in and to operate and secure the service, our servers process authentication tokens and may log standard technical data such as IP address, timestamps, and error diagnostics.
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, browsing activity, or advertising identifiers, and APFE contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Your inventory is stored on your device and synced to our servers so it stays consistent across your devices and the members of your household.
Your inventory content is visible only to you and to the household members you invite. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the app, and only as needed to do so:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or ourselves.
Data is encrypted in transit between the app and our servers. We restrict access to stored data and take reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated inventory data at any time by emailing [email protected] from your account email. We will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations. Note that content shared within a household may remain visible to other members of that household.
APFE is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Our servers are located in Fremont, California, United States. If you use APFE from outside that region, your information will be transferred to and processed there.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be communicated in the app or by email.
